Kapolsek Jiwan, Iptu Gunawan, mengatakan awalnya kebakaran ini diketahui seorang warga yang mencium asap kebakaran. Selanjutnya, warga yang bernama Heru itu keluar dari ruangan dan melihat api di lantai dua toko tersebut.
