A lot of the jobs that have been lost since the pandemic are being recovered. No question it was a much better number than was expected with the headline being 1. 4 million jobs added and the Unemployment Rate going below double digits for the First Time Since the pandemic adding it all up we now have recovered since april a total of about 10. 6 million jobs, which is huge progress, but it also leaves a huge hole we still have 11. 5 million fewer jobs than we had in february which was the month before the pandemic so weve still got to dig ourselves out of the hole and weve still got to look at the permanent impact of all of this. One in the numbers i went to first in this report is the number of people seeing permanent job losses it did rise by about half a million. Its 3. 4 million so that is the highest level since 2013 and does point to the fact that there is going to be some permanent scarring despite the fact, carl, that we are seeing progress, its moving in the right direction. Whether its medical, some of these states posting some of their highest caseloads since the pandemic began, but then again optimism about the recovery at the same time. Right look, i think that we are all kind of thrown its governor to governor, yesterday in new jersey suddenly we get the you can have 100 people outside, 50 people inside. Versus six we are all kind of confused. With he see some parts of the country looking worse, other parts of the country that were so terrible its wide open and the confusion to me is what are the numbers going to be look like what are they going to look like given the fact that new york now feels like post wuhan and the rest of the country seems like, i dont know, maybe is it going to be italy, is it going to be spain i dont think it is. I think its going to be better, but i have to tell you, carl, that the stuff thats being bought is not in synch with whats happening, particularly the airlines, the hertz rental car, we saw a very good piece in the jo

Expected i think were going through a period of i hate to use that cliche, rational exuberance. People want to get back in the market and theyre being when you see this nickel you featured highly for the last couple days, people are just anxious to put money. Theres a lot of money on the sidelines. And i personally think that we should be concerned and be concerned about whats ahead for the economy. The rest of the summer and into the fall i mean, i think were living in artificial dream world at the moment i think unemployment is going to increase i think that businesses are not going to come back to work as fast as they have. On the other hand, on the other hand, and im going to be selfish, we have companies that are doing well in this environment. But they in special neariches. There are companies who are going to increase and probably certainly a company like facebook and apple and several of the others you mentioned are beneficiaries of this times were living, the Delivery Companie

With you great to see at least your picture here and hear your voice. I want to start with the markets in general and warren buffets comments his comments appeared to go against popular wisdom i think in how to manage investments he sold airlines low, didnt buy anything during the historic selloff i wonder what you think from a Research Perspective how investors playing at home should what they should take away from that after having one of the worst months ever in march april has ended with one of the strongest rallies in about 30 years across a number of benchmarks the s p 500, the nasdaq, and u. S. High grade. So i think that you should expect some consolidation this month. Now there is just so much liquidity in the system. We estimate the Central Bank Balance sheets will expand 17 this year. You dont bet against that we still think you should be, you know, constructive, but consolidation is in order. The markets responded the fastest, the virus and the economy last and the data pri
