Its my pleasure to welcome everybody todays event, a celebration of the 40 Year Anniversary of the reagan tax cuts. I met dickerson, director of the grover and, here at the Heritage Foundation. We focused our research on issues related to taxes and spending, i think theres been a little too much about those going on recently. But were very happy to be hosting this event, the celebration. The economic recovery tax act, which is a positive change in tax dollars, yes. But it represented much more than that. It was a change in the mindset.
