(UNION, NJ) Premiere Stages, the professional theatre company in residence at Kean University, has selected its four finalists for the 2023 Premiere Play Festival. Now in its 18th year, the Festival is an annual competition for unproduced scripts that offers developmental opportunities to playwrights with strong affiliations to New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Delaware. This year s finalists were selected from 701 submissions.

Boise Contemporary Theater, the only professional theater in the state of Idaho that focuses entirely on new and contemporary plays, has announced the selections for its inaugural BIPOC Playwrights Festival, made possible by the Idaho Women s Charitable Foundation and the Morrison Center Endowment Foundation.
