RCMP searching for suspect after serious assault causes significant injuries
RCMP are asking for the public’s help to find a man who has been charged with numerous offences after police in Fort Qu Appelle were called about a serious assault on Friday.

Colton Bear was last seen at a home on Standing Buffalo Dakota First Nation. Police say he may still be there, or he could be in Fort Qu’Appelle, but this has not been confirmed. He is considered dangerous and should not be approcahed. (RCMP)

A complaint of an assault on Saturday that left the victim with significant injuries has lead to a search for the suspect.
Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP are looking for Colton Bear, who was last seen at a home on the Standing Buffalo Dakota First Nation.
He is 5-foot 9, 165 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, and is believed to be in Fort Qu’Appelle or the Standing Buffalo Dakota First Nation.
Bear is charged with numerous offences, including assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats, failure to comply with his release and failure to attend court, and theft of a motor vehicle, which Mounties note the vehicle has since been recovered.
As a result of investigation, Colton Bear is charged with multiple offences including assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats, failure to comply with his release and failure to attend court, theft of motor vehicle (the vehicle has since been recovered by police), among others. Colton Bear is described as being approximately 5’9” tall, 165 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen at a residence on Standing Buffalo Dakota First Nation. We do not have any clothing descriptors. He may be in Fort Qu’Appelle or Standing Buffalo Dakota First Nation, but this has not been confirmed. Colton Bear is considered dangerous and should not be approached.
