The DMK, which has already sounded the poll bugle by launching its electioneering across Tamil Nadu under ‘Vidiyalai Nokki, Stalinin Kural’ (Stalin’s voice towards dawn), will complete the work on its election manifesto by January-end, party women s wing leader Kanimozhi said on Tuesday.
Addressing reporters after visiting the Tirunelveli Junction bus-stand under construction as part of the ‘Smart City’ programme ahead of her electioneering in the district, Ms. Kanimozhi said the manifesto would be prepared after soliciting views of people from various walks of life including those in the southern districts.
Mission 200: Stalin launches WeRejectADMKâ campaign

A day after Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami launched an early campaign for the next yearâs Assembly election in Tamil Nadu, DMK President MK Stalin on Sunday came up with a âMission 200â target for his party and kickstarted the âWeRejectADMKâ campaign.
A perennial political prince-in-waiting, Stalin, who sees the upcoming election as his only chance to stake claim to the chief ministerial throne, made it clear to his partyâs office-bearers he is aiming for nothing less than 200 seats for the DMK-led alliance in the 234-member House. The DMK has also been out of power since 2011, which makes the battle all the more dear to it.

The DMK MP Dr.Senthil Kumar came under attack from the PMK cadres in Nathamedu village in Paapireddypatty here on Wednesday, as an outnumbered police scrambled to cordon off the MP from the assault.
The MP was on the campaign trail as part of DMK’s Vidiyalainokki Stalinin Kural in Paapireddypatty at the time of the incident. He was scheduled to make stop at Nathamedu village, a PMK stronghold, where a memorial pillar for one Subramani was erected.
