A suspect has been charged in a Montgomery double shooting that left one woman dead and another hospitalized, according to the Montgomery Police Department.
Authorities said Aaron Romo was out on bail on domestic violence charges when he fatally beat and strangled his ex-girlfriend, Mirelle Mateus, in Anaheim.
The parade began at Kennett High School and proceed up South Union Street to East Cypress Street, up South Broad Street, then west on State Street to North Union Street and concluding at Union Hill Cemetery, where the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5467, led by Joe Zenisek, held a memorial service with a 21-gun salute and a wreath-laying ceremony.
A woman killed in a Sunday afternoon double shooting is now identified as 40-year-old Montgomery resident Shayla Jones, according to the Montgomery Police Department.
