Picture: FILE A Memorandum of agreement (MOA) between the University of the South Pacific (USP) and its staff unions has gathered wide support from union members. Association of The University of the South Pacific Staff (AUSPS) president Elizabeth Fong revealed their union members, including those of USP Staff Union (USPSU), had rallied behind the memorandum of agreement. Ms Fong said staff members had voted on the MOA this week, adding they could not discuss its outcome as it was an internal matter. “Yes, both unions agreed to ensure sustainability of the USP in an environment of the COVID-19 pandemic which has been exacerbated by the withholding of the Fiji Government commitment,” said Ms Fong.
