Eastern Cape co-operative governance and traditional affairs (Cogta) MEC Zolile Williams has called on struggling municipalities to sell their debt to private collectors to recoup some of the money owed by consumers.
One of the landmarks in Ngangelizwe, Mthatha’s first-ever township the swimming pool which has been in disrepair due to years of neglect by KSD municipal bosses, may finally get a facelift. The Dispatch previously reported that the pool precinct had become a haven for criminals and junkies. But KSD mayor Nyaniso Nelani revealed the swimming pool was one of three anchor projects to help revive crime-riddled Ngangelizwe’s ailing economy.
