Belloni, then 63 years old and weighing only 90 pounds, was pulling her shopping cart along busy New Dorp Lane on Oct. 8, 2018, when everything suddenly went dark.
“It was almost like an earthquake,” Belloni said Thursday in her first public comments on the shocking episode. “I blacked out after that.”
Belloni didn’t regain consciousness until waking up sometime later in the emergency room.

Eric Coleman, who attacked a 63-year-old woman in October 2018 at New Dorp Lane and Clawson Street, had been found unfit for trial, but was later deemed mentally capable after receiving treatment.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. The man accused of brutally attacking a defenseless 63-year-old woman in New Dorp two-and-a-half years ago has pleaded guilty to felony assault.
However, Eric Coleman could avoid prison if he completes mental-health treatment, under the terms of his plea agreement.
Coleman, who is in his late 50s, had been found mentally incapable of standing trial in November 2018 shortly after being indicted in the case.
