More than two dozen people have signed up to appear in clown attire and learn about the history of Somers Point s taverns, tap rooms, saloons, restaurants, speakeasies and after-hours watering holes during a bar tour titled "We re All Bozos on This Bus!"
Teachers and staff at Coastal Preparatory High School in Cape May Court House showed how thankful they were for their students’ hard work and dedication so far this year by preparing a holiday feast and providing gifts courtesy of the Greater Wildwood Elks Lodge #1896 and the Greg DiAntonio Memorial Fund.
Jersey Shore guitarist Billy Walton and his band will headline the annual Somers Point Good Old Days Festival on Sept. 9 at John F. Kennedy Memorial Park.

Atlantic County Sheriff Eric Scheffler administered the oath of office to 11 new hires on April 20.
Scheffler stated that he did not hire last year as a result of COVID-19 that caused the day-to-day functions of the courthouses to scale back dramatically. “The need to bring on additional personnel at that time could not be justified,” said Scheffler.
Now that the courts are opening back up, Scheffler felt it necessary to replenish the openings and get his organization back to almost full staff. All new hires are filling open vacancies of officers who either retired or left the agency.
