Reporter the Treatment Center is a large house that sits in the middle of the block not too far from palo altos downtown. Staff members will not comment. One woman says the suspect was shot because he refused to drop a butter knife. This Residential Health facility looks like any other house on this palo alto street. It takes in men and women with Mental Health issues for treatment programs. Christmas night, police were called here for a disturbance. They shot and killed the suspect. They say he was armed with a knife and charged at officers. Just rapid fire. And im shocked. Neighbors describe the center as transitional housing. Have there been problems before . Nothing like this. Most of the people there are very respectful and are very good neighbors.
