It seeks to ensure the granting and continuity of economic assistance aimed at contributing to the comprehensive development of children and adolescents, whose mother, father, or both, have died from COVID-19 during the health emergency, Bermudez told reporters. This draft bill seeks to give continuity and sustainability to the grant that was approved a few months ago for the benefit of this age group, she added.

Precisely, Vargas and Production Minister Jose Chicoma took stock on the measures adopted by the Executive Branch to combat the health emergency caused by COVID-19 throughout the country. To date, this information is quite important. 509,607 households in groups 1 and 2 have already collected the S/600 grant, the head of the Development and Social Inclusion Ministry (Midis) said in a press conference.
According to the government official, the implementation of the grant for households in extreme poverty and vulnerability began on February 15, making the corresponding digital platform available.
Thus, the payment of such grant to families in the first group began on February 17, while households in the second group were able to collect it as of February 26.
The Executive Branch will launch a National Plan for the Reactivation of Tourism, whose two main objectives are to develop and consolidate a range of sustainable destinations, as well as position Peru as a destination with safe and first-class tourism products.
