MANILA - The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will be providing free live streaming of e-rallies of national candidates for the May polls at the start of the campaign period next month. In a statement Thursday, Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez said the Campaign S.A.F.E. COMELEC e-Rally Channel on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/COMELECeRallyChannel) will give e-rally airtime to all bona fide candidates for the positions of president, vice president, senator, and party-list. "The Commission will issue the pertinent guidelines on how the candidates and party-list organizations can participate in the e-Rally channel. This platform can help ensure that even those candidates who have less in followers can still have more in views and exposure, so to speak," he said. The live-streaming will begin on February 8, the start of the 90-day campaign period for candidates running for national positions.
