Third person arrested in Cumberland River boat ramp shooting

The suspect, a juvenile, was arrested Friday afternoon, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff s Office. The Leaf-Chronicle does not identify juvenile suspects unless they are charged in adult court. The juvenile has been charged with aggravated robbery. The other two suspects in the case, Kendra Muniz, 18, and Kaileb Parks, 19, are also facing aggravated robbery charges. The victim in the case was attacked by three people at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Gip Manning Road and Smith Branch Road, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff s Office.  He was shot in the hand and forearm.  Parks and Muniz are set to appear in court April 28.

Update, 11:40 a.m.: Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office have arrested two suspects and are searching for a third in the shooting. The victim said he was assaulted by three people and shot in the hand and forearm, MCSO spokeswoman Sandra Brandon said. The victim was able to drive to a nearby residence to ask for help. Kendra Muniz Kaileb Parks Kendra Muniz, 18, and Kaileb Parks, 19, were taken into custody and charged with aggravated robbery, the release said. This is an ongoing investigation, and additional charges may be pending.
