C-470 closed Thursday while hazardous materials teams investigates device

C-470 closed for part of Thursday afternoon as a hazardous materials team investigated a so-called "radiological device" that fell onto the highway in a 3-car crash, South Metro Fire Rescue said.

Two-Vehicle Crash Closed Broad at Front St.

(MURFREESBORO) Around 5:44PM Monday night (12/11/2023) there was a two-vehicle crash on Broad Street at Front Street, near the Yard Sale Store. First responders on-the-scene were units from Murfreesboro Police.  Officers aided the victims while controling traffic.  Murfreesboro Police PIO Larry Flowers told WGNS News that a Jeep Cherokee and a 4-door Chevy Malibu were involved. He noted that there was no deployment of an airbag and injuries were not significant enough to taken victims .

(MURFREESBORO) Around 5:40PM Monday night (12/11/2023) there was a multi-vehicle crash on Broad Street at the Yard Sale Store. First responders on-the-scene were units from Murfreesboro Police.  Officers aided the victims while controling traffic.  East and West bound lances of traffic on Broad St. were blocked by crash vehicles and debris.      .
