Sonntag, 27. Juni 2021 - 09:21 Uhr Auf sehr geringe Resonanz stießen die beiden Kundgebungen am Samstag vor der Verbandsgemeindeverwaltung in Kandel. Das „Frauenbündnis Kandel“ hatte zu einer Demonstration für Meinungsfreiheit, Demokratie und Grundrechte aufgerufen. Unter dem Motto „Die Omas impfen gegen Rechts zugunsten der demokratischen Herdenimmunität“ hatten sich die „Omas gegen Rechts“, „Kandel gegen Rechts“, die Partien „Die Linke“ und „Die Partei“ sowie die Antifa versammelt. Auf beiden Seiten versammelten sich jeweils rund 30 Personen. Zwischen beiden Gruppierungen war eine Pufferzone von rund 50 Metern gebildet worden, die von 15 Polizisten überwacht wurde. Die Versammlungen verliefen bis auf gegenseitige verbale Scharmützel friedlich, die Maskenpflicht wurde weitgehend eingehalten. Kurz nach 16 Uhr waren beide Veranstaltungen beendet.
