A Mosman house bought for £9750 in 1957 and bequeathed to Sydney University half a century ago is finally set to be sold, offering an $8.5 million windfall.
Records show Kathleen Laurence purchased the 1950s-built house in 1957 for £9750, to which she added the adjoining block of bushland two years later for 10 shillings to create what is now an 1800 square metre parcel.
