High Sierra Swing Dance Club presents its annual Halloween costume ball 7-10:30 p.m. on Oct. 19 at the Brewery Arts Center’s Grand Ballroom, 449 W. King St., Carson City. Tiffany Hopkins will teach an intermediate nightclub two-step lesson at 7 p.m. Costumes are optional, but there will be prizes for best holiday attire in four categories.
Start the week off with a dose of art. The traveling exhibit, Always Lost: A Meditation on War, will be leaving the Legislature building after Wednesday. Spring has Sprung at the Nevada Artist’s Association Gallery at the Brewery Arts Center.
