Trump is also trying to consolidate his support within his party. This week, he received endorsements from key republican holdouts including Mitch Mcconnell who threw his support behind the former president just moments after nikki haley dropped out on wednesday. President biden made pointed remarks about trump during his state of the Union Address on thursday night and he continued his criticism in a Campaign Stop in pennsylvania last night.
