Reporter well, jim, President Biden said it is time for congress to get to work to avoid repeating this down to the wire talks that happened and ended yesterday as the house and senate both passed a bill to avert a Government Shutdown. But what the president has been pushing for them to do over the past few weeks and Going Forward is for House Republicans to adhere to the agreement that the white house had reached with House Speaker Kevin Mccarthy back in the spring during the debt ceiling fight. During that time, they had reached some agreements about what spending and budget levels should be in place and they had hoped that this was to avert a shutdown.
