Couples could soon have a new place to tie the knot near Collierville.
Greg McOlgan and Shannon McOlgan submitted a Special Use Permit Application to the Memphis and Shelby County Office of Planning and Development that would allow for a wedding venue and events center in unincorporated Shelby County near Collierville.
The Virgie Mae Manor Weddings and Events venue would be on about 27 acres on the west side of Collierville-Arlington Road, north of Wolf River, on former farmland.
According to the application, the event center would also be in Collierville s growth boundary known as the Collierville Reserve Area.
The venue plans in the application include approximately 6,000 to 7,000 square feet for the main building with a bridal cottage, small wedding chapel, pavilion and walking trails.
