Staging area just south of st. Helena in rutherford. We are pretty much surrounded by fire on the hillside all around us. There is activity on Spring Mountain road and we tried to go there. But we got blocked. It was too dangerous even for media crews. We saw a cal fire investigator gathering evidence of a fire that seems to have started off of the road next to a steep hillside. There were evidence markers and he was on his hands and knees using Electronic Devices to scan for clues. The investigator did not say much about why he was there. The blaze raced up the hillside where firefighters were called in. We spent the morning around the hills southwest of calistoga. One benefit of the inversion layer is the thick smoke trapped in the valley is starving the fire of oxygen. Much of the town is empty under mandatory evacuation order. We did meet buster davis. He survived the 2017 fire. He says he has worked too long and too hard to walk away now. This is my life. Aint nobody going to tell
