Chinese Premier Li Qiang attended the fourth Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) Leaders Meeting via videolink on Monday, with the attendance of leaders from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam, the five ASEAN member states that the Mekong River runs through. China called for the deepening of development for regional integration and security cooperation to crack down on telecom fraud among the six countries.
China on Monday proposed six programs which will benefit the Lancang-Mekong countries aside from China, namely Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam, including cooperation plans in agriculture, water resources, digital economy, aerospace, education, and public health, as Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi chaired the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Foreign Ministers Meeting (LMC) in Bagan, Myanmar.

"Regional and global growth, sustainable development and prosperity cant be achieved by unilateralism and protectionism, so multilateralism is very important," said Kin Phea, director-general of the International Relations Institute at the Royal Academy of Cambodia.
