According to an official statement, under the business plan, a workable strategy has been devised to arrange funds for the Pedo’s next projects.

PESHAWAR: The policy board has approved the business model for the Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO) to make the organization sustainable and profitable by minimizing dependency on the government exchequer for new projects funding.
The 7th meeting of the PEDO Policy Board was held here on Friday with Chief Minister Mahmood Khan in the chair, said an official handout. Additional Chief Secretary Shakil Qadir, Secretary Energy & Power, Muhammad Zubair, PEDO Chief Executive Officer, Naeem Khan, and other members of the board were there.
Under the business plan, a workable funding strategy has been devised for PEDO for arranging funds for its upcoming projects through various sources.
KP releases over Rs 79b uplift funds to depts so far

PESHAWAR: The KP government during the current financial year has released a total development fund of over Rs 79 billion rupees to various departments which is the highest amount released during the first two quarters in the last five years.
This was stated at a mid-year review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mahmood Khan. It was held to take stock of the progress including fund utilization on the developmental projects of the Annual Development Program (ADP) 2020-21. Besides Chief Secretary Kazim Niaz and Additional Chief Secretary Shakil Qadir, the meeting was attended by administrative secretaries of all the provincial departments, said an official handout.

PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday said the PTI-led government is facing no threat from the opposition rallies or pressure from any side and the whole drama is being staged for Senate elections, which the government intends to hold earlier than schedule.
He said the government has approached the Supreme Court of Pakistan to hold the upcoming Senate elections via a “show of hands”. Speaking to reporters here, Imran Khan said elections for the Upper House would be held earlier than planned and that he had been given a detailed briefing on the matter by Attorney General for Pakistan Khalid Jawed Khan.
