The city of Anita was incorporated on the 10th of June 1875. The Sesquicentennial Committee 2025 has chosen to celebrate Anita’s 150 anniversary on Aug 2 ,3, and 4, 2025.
It was a night of celebration and recognition as the City of Sanford issued proclamations for Black History Month and the beginning of Sanford’s sesquicentennial celebration during the council meeting
