Jeffrey may sue Al Jazeera, Lasimbang | Daily Express Online - Sabah's Leading News Portal

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan denounced Al Jazeera’s recent report on the Sabah carbon credit agreement, claiming “it is distorted and irresponsible because it was written entirely on the words of a ‘whistleblower’.” “I am considering legal action against Al-Jazeera, Lasimbang and others who are actively disseminating false information to the public, particularly those that are defaming my name,” he said, referring to former Senator Adrian Lasimbang, who had been questioning the controversial NCA deal and filed court action on the same.   He said Al-Jazeera should have double-checked the facts with the Government “which has endorsed the Nature Conservation Agreement (NCA) rather than relying on false allegations made by an individual who is hell-bent to discredit the deal and even set up his own group to take over the deal”
