Owner of the West Texas Living Heritage Museum and local author Tina Siemens approached the Seminole City Council during their regular meeting Monday evening, to request HOT funds in the amount of $53,576.
The Seminole City Council recognized the Public Works Department for maintaining the water leak that occurred on Mar. 13. According to Public Works Director, Jeff Rose, he and his team started working on the issue at 2:30 p.m. and managed to get the water to shut down the next morning; however, the issue was not resolved until 6 p.m. on Mar. 14. Those recognized included Jeff Rose, Chris Flores, Kevin Long, JK Draugn, Quintajion Jones and Freddy Jones.
After the departure of Mayor John Belcher, the Seminole City Council decided to appoint Councilmember Chet Clark as the city’s new mayor. Clark has served 16 years as a councilman in District 2 and has lived in Seminole all his life.
