The whistle-blower complaint is raising growing alarm about our nation s national security interests. i want to bring in tom ridge, our country s first secretary of homeland security. he is also former governor of pennsylvania and is an expert in international and cyber security. secretary ridge, thank you so much for your time, sir. craig, very nice to join you today. very interesting listening to your previous participants in that conversation. thank you. thank you. let s continue the conversation. i want to start with big picture, get your general thoughts on the whistle-blower complaint and the allegations about president trump. first of all, i think it s wise to remember that congress created the whistle-blower statute for a very specific reason. there may be conduct, questionable conduct within the executive branch that may rise to a particular level that those within the executive branch believe that congress should be informed. this is such an occasion.
