Capt. Eric Anderson of the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife was driving down Highway 101 at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, when the computer terminal in his car blinked on. His Montana counterpart, Tom Wolfe, had forwarded him an email with an innocuous automated report from the U.S. Geographic Survey about the detection of a zebra mussel in Washington state.  ....
