Kanawha Valley Regional Transportation Authority officials held a meeting on May 31, 2024 about proposing route discontinuations and fare increases. According to officials at the meeting and a detailed comprehensive plan posted on the KRT website, eleven routes could be discontinued. In place of the regularly occurring bus lines, officials proposed an on-demand ride service that will allow riders to request or schedule a ride in advance from their phone.
