HBO Max’s Sarah Aubrey WarnerMedia-owned US streamer HBO Max has greenlit a fashion competition format focusing on streetwear from the producers of Netflix’s Queer Eye reboot. The Hype is being produced by Scout Productions, the US prodco that is also behind HBO Max ballroom dance and fashion competition Legendary. The new format includes the worlds of streetwear, business and culture and sees fashion designers combining their ideas and entrepreneurial skill to avoid elimination. Speedy Morman will host the eight-episode season and the judges will include Grammy-nominated recording artist and designer Offset, creative director and founder of Bephies Beauty Supply Beth Birkett and Emmy-nominated costume designer Marni Senofonte. ....
