Dear Parents, Guardians, and Community Members:
This afternoon, our school resource officer, Officer Skiba, was notified by the Scottville Police Department of alleged incidents that took place this week in Scottville. The District was advised that the Scottville Police Department was working with Mason County Central Schools to investigate a suspicious vehicle, described as a black truck or black SUV. It is alleged that the driver of this vehicle approached an elementary aged female student yesterday as she was walking to school. It is alleged that the driver asked the student if she wanted a ride before the student ran away toward the school. The District was also notified today that earlier in the week, another similar alleged incident involving a black truck or black SUV was reported to the Scottville Police Department.
