5:02. it s been more than three days since typhoon haiyan barreled through the philippines but the scope of the disaster is still hard to comprehend. those who survived the massive storm are too overwhelmed trying to find food and shelter to deal with the dead. delia goncalves is in our satellite center with more on the massive relief effort under way. reporter: good morning. help is coming from all around the world. troops, millions of them, are on the ground. more on the way. the u.n. has just released 25 million $25 million in emergency funds still much more is needed and the situation desperate as it is could even get worse because a rainstorm is predicted later today. according to the associated press, the official death toll now stands at 1,744 but authorities estimate the typhoon killed 10,000 people leaving nine million people struggling, 600,000 homeless. look at the devastating pictures. folks are on the ground calling conditions, quote, worse than hell. there
