TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Kristy Pahvahtyah, a teacher at Pueblo Gardens PreK-8 School in Tucson has received a $5,000 prize from a national organization called Honored.
A total of $2.4 million in state and federal funding will further the Indigenous Teacher Education Program's mission of bringing more Native American teachers to schools that serve Native American students.
