St Helens woman named in 100 inspirational female entrepreneurs list

Debra, who founded OLCOTWISH C.I.C (Our Little Corner of the World in St.Helens) - which runs Café Laziz, an Arabic café where asylum seekers and refugees can volunteer, gaining
training and qualifications whileintegrating more easily into the local community - is being showcased alongside 100 female entrepreneurs from across the UK, as part of the campaign’s
recognition of the multi-achievements of women that have proved critical to society during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now in its fourth year, f:Entrepreneur was launched in 2017 to highlight amazing female role models to help and inspire all small businesses, through content, stories and events. ....

Are you one of Thurrock's next social entrepreneurs?


THE School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) supported Claire Prosho through its Thurrock Social Entrepreneurship programme in 2019 which helps budding social entrepreneurs in Thurrock turn their idea into a reality. Claire set up Claire’s Transgender Talks which offers workshops to businesses and individuals exploring transgender and nonbinary identities, issues and discrimination. Its aim is to debunk common misconceptions and help people become more confident in interacting with the community.
About the support of SSE, Claire says: “Networking and talking to people has been a serious weak point for me. But between the course and mentoring components it’s given me the ability and confidence to do this.” Claire has become truly integrated into SSE, having returned to speak about her experiences with applicants for the next cohort. ....
