Lok Sabha Elections News: A special tram has been flagged off in Kolkata to spread awareness about the voting process, aiming to increase voter turnout in the upcoming elections. The tram will ply between Esplanade and Shyambazar from May 1, offering free rides to educate passengers on voting procedures and special features for disabled and senior citizens. Various programs and displays on EVM, VVPAT, and voting infrastructure will be featured on the tram, along with initiatives to engage different voter demographics. The initiative also includes a blood donation camp and emphasizes the importance of voter safety. Citizens are encouraged to step out and vote for a better future.
