Covered Bridge took the track on Saturday (Jan. 13) evening at Woodbine Mohawk Park for the third straight start on Canadian soil in the featured class. After two previous show finishes, the eight-year-old millionaire gelding made his third appearance in the $32,000 Preferred 2 Pace a winning one.
While the bulk of harness racing's attention was at The Meadowlands on Saturday, Nov. 25, the $36,000 Preferred Pace at Woodbine Mohawk might have been the most exciting race of the evening.
After getting foiled the last few weeks, Saulsbrook Victor returned to the winner’s circle of the $42,000 Free For All Pace at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Saturday night (April 22) off a coast-to-coast 1:50.4 win over a track rated “good”.
One of Canada’s biggest racing events, the $150,000 Camluck Classic presented by Seelster Farms, is set to take place on Friday, May 26 at The Raceway at Western Fair District.
