International campaign grows to free Alex Saab By Sara Flounders posted on July 7, 2021 Free Alex Saab demonstration, July 5, B, Mass. Speaking is Andira Alves, former Amazon worker with Party for Socialism and Liberation. The continuing international Campaign to free Venezuelan diplomat Alex Saab, abducted by the U.S. over a year ago and held in Cabo Verde, gained momentum this week. July 5, the National Independence Day of Cabo Verde, is a highly unusual time for the prime minister to be out of the country.
