In the past hour, chopper 5 flying over the aftermath of a grass fire that burned right up to a roadway in bay pointe and chart about half an acre. This is right next to bailey road. That shut down traffic in both directions. The crews have stopped the forward progress there. And in Alameda County chopper 5 was over a vegetation fire burning in a landfill in livermore. It started at the Waste Management landfill northeast of the ultima pass. No homes in the area but the smoke could be seen for miles. Then, there was this. Explosions rocking a martinez neighborhood, destroying a home and several vehicles. The wind whipped inferno came dangerously close to other homes. Here i the scene along came bart court. Those projections come as Governor Newsom says california could begin reopening its economy by friday, retail and manufacturers will be first to enter into californias next phase of the stay at home order. The governor says flower shops clothing stores, toys books in Sporting Goods stores. Can all open by the end of the week with these new mandatory guidelines like curbside pickup. The state is set to release the new rules on thursday seated restaurant dining and shopping malls and office is still not included in this next phase. We need active Monitoring Surveillance to make sure that the disease is not spreading. It is one of the criteria is a trigger to re modify. Governor newsome said that phase 2 would also include reopening public spaces like parks and beaches. Were expecting more details on that coming up on thursday. If you are taking the commute out of the east bay into San Francisco, you will see some brake lights as you exit off this skyway. The lanes are blocked coming off of the bay bridge towards fremont. The right lane is available but they are using that to get traffic off of the bridge onto fremont. We are hoping to have one or two lanes opened up pretty soon. W
