Over 26,000 aspirants appeared for the Uttar Pradesh Joint B Ed Entrance Examination 2024 at 52 centres in Varanasi district. The examination was conducted successfully with tight security arrangements. Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth was the nodal university for the exam. Adequate arrangements for aspirants' comfort and fair examination were ensured by district authorities and police.
A man posing as a sub-inspector was arrested by a joint team of Jhunsi police and SOG in Prayagraj. The arrested man, Dilip Kumar Shukla, was found with a fake ID card, three PAN cards, Rs 120 cash, and a bike in his possession. He duped a woman of Rs 1.35 lakh on the pretext of arranging an arms license and licensed weapon.
