Guthrie Doctor Flew Chopper into Snow Before Fatal Crash

AP cites “authorities” as saying the Roberson R44 chopper piloted by Doctor Sanjay Kansara flew into the snow, spinning out of control and crashing in remote area of Wyoming County, Pennsylvania on April 22. But The (Allentown) Morning Call reports that a spokesperson for the National Transportation Safety Board says it’s unclear whether the snow caused or contributed to the fatal crash or whether other factors were involved.
The helicopter departed Allentown Queen Municipal Airport and was headed to Bradford County Airport near Towanda when it went down in Wyoming County.

Wednesday, The Pennsylvania Department of Health added 2179 new cases of COVID-19 in the state, bringing the statewide total to 1,179,251. There were 52 new deaths attributed to COVID-19 as well. That number in Pennsylvania now stands at 26,659.
After the CDC and FDA both gave emergency authorization for the use of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for kids ages 12-to-15, some of those kids were in line to get their first shot. One girl says she couldn t wait to roll up her sleeve. I think it s a big step in not necessarily making COVID go away but having it get better in a way, the girl said. That girl got her shot at St. Luke s Anderson Campus in Bethlehem Township. Lehigh Valley Health Network has also begun vaccinating that age group.
