Reno County reports five non-fatal drug overdoses in the past 24 hours

Reno County has reported five non-fatal drug overdoses in the last 24 hours. Four of the overdoses involved methamphetamine and one involved fentanyl, the county said.

First Kansas Photojournalism HOF inducted | Kansas Press Association

It’s a virtual “Who’s Who” of the most significant icons of photography of the past 50 years. On Nov. 19, 12 photographers with strong Kansas ties becam the inaugural class of the newly minted Kansas Photojournalism Hall of Fame during a special event in Topeka. The class included Pulitzer Prize winners, National Geographic staffers, a former chief photographer for two presidents and others who have made history through still photography.

Eight Photojournalism HOF inductees have ties to Topeka Capital-Journal

Eight of the 12 members of the inaugural class of the Kansas Photojournalism Hall of Fame worked at one time at the Topeka Capital-Journal. The 12 will be honored at a ceremony on Nov. 19 at The Beacon in Topeka. To register for the event, which begins with a reception at 6 p.m., go here.
