UPDATE: Due to inclement winter weather predicted for Monday, January 15, the 2024 MLK Day of service will just offer one service option. The Esther Gallow Community Garden cleanup has been cancelled. All volunteers will now help with sorting items for the Food Bank of NELA at the ULM Activity Center. MONROE, LA – The University of Louisiana Monroe Office of Global and Multicultural Affairs will once again participate in the annual MLK Day of Service, taking place on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 15. Members of the community are invited to join ULM faculty, staff, and students in assisting the Northeast Louisiana Food Bank by sorting items at the ULM Activity Center.
The University of Louisiana Monroe Office of Global and Multicultural Affairs will once again participate in the annual MLK Day of Service, taking place on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 15. Members of the community are invited to join ULM faculty, staff, and students, with two opportunities to serve, including assisting the Northeast Louisiana Food Bank and a clean-up project at the Esther Gallow Community Garden.
The University of Louisiana Monroe will take part in the annual MLK Day of Service on Monday, January 16. ULM invites faculty, staff, students, and community partners to the ULM Activity Center from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. to assist in sorting and packaging donations made to The Salvation Army of NELA.
