Imtiaz Ali’s biographical drama Amar Singh Chamkila, featuring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra, has been receiving positive responses. The director expressed surprise at venturing into biopics and emphasised the importance of portraying the human side of Chamkila, including his flaws. Retaining these imperfections in the film adds relatability to the character, he said.
