SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The sixth-seeded Florida lacrosse team has its eyes set on the program’s second Final Four berth in history when the team takes on the third-ranked Syracuse Orange on Saturday afternoon.
Opening draw is slated for 2 p.m. on ESPN3 with Corey Spector and Samantha Croston on the call. The game can also be heard on FloridaGators.com/watch with Sean Salisbury on the call.
Florida and Syracuse have faced off 11 prior times in program history, with two of those meetings coming in the postseason (2012, 2013). The Orange hold the 7-4 series advantage.

Forty-three years ago, this magazine debuted as the first feature publication devoted exclusively to lacrosse. The periodical was produced by the Lacrosse Foundation, which 20 years later was one of eight organizations that merged to form what was then US Lacrosse and is now USA Lacrosse.
These walls in Sparks, Maryland and these pages in your hands possess an institutional memory of the sport unlike anything you’ll find in the lacrosse world. There’s a new logo on the facade and a new masthead on the cover. But rebranding in some ways has resulted in us reinforcing who we are as a national governing body that unites the lacrosse community and as a magazine that since 1978 has inspired generations of lacrosse families to love this great game and leave it better for the next.

Chloe Jones committed to Syracuse in September. But securing a spot with one of the top women’s lacrosse teams in the country was not the most impressive thing she’s done so far this year. Jones started making a name for herself in the lacrosse community because of the ways she has gone viral and given back to her community during the pandemic.
