These are people who’ve had their lives and incomes devastated by the collapse of Bali’s tourist economy. It’s not just inconvenience it’s real poverty, near starvation, and a massive collapse in the overall standard of living, especially in the island’s further regions. Here’s a couple of stories of people with some means, who’ve decided to help out:
