The heat is on! A strong ridge of high pressure will keep it hot and dry with records likely to be broken today. It'll be slightly cooler as the high pressure weakens Tuesday, but still hot.
Dry air will move into SW Utah today, but moisture in place across most of the area will bring a threat of PM showers & t-storms. Some storms across Northern UT & SW Wyoming could become severe.
As record temperatures melt the record winter snowpack, Utah rivers and streams will be running "high" and "fast" for the next few days, according to the National Weather Service. Later this week, cooler weather is in the forecast.
