captioning sponsored by cbs this is the cbs evening news with scott pelley. pelley: good evening. all 12 of the u.s. secret service agents and officers caught up in that prostitution scandal in colombia have now been fired or resigned, or retired, or cleared. the director of the secret service acted against the last of his personnel today. a separate investigation of 12 members of the military continues. norah o donnell is at the white house tonight with the late breaking news. norah? reporter: scott, secret service officials credit director mark sullivan for move being quickly to clean house. we learned the fate of those five additional agents today. two resigned, two were cleared of any wrongdoing, and one was fired. director sullivan made a rare personal appearance on capitol hill today to assure lawmakers that he was moving to resolve the scandal threatening to tarnish the secret service. and by the end of the day, those implicated in the prostitution scandal ....
