Covid-19: Portugal Update, 18 January, 2021

Portugal has today registered a further 167 deaths, a new 24 hour maximum deaths related to covid-19, and 6,702 new cases of infection with the new coronavirus, according to the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) .
According to the epidemiological bulletin of DGS Portugal, today exceeded 9,000 deaths in total related to covid-19, since the beginning of the pandemic, in March 2020, when 9,028 deaths were recorded, and a total of 556,503 infections by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
The bulletin also reveals that today there have been more than 5,000 hospital admissions for covid-19, with 5,165 people hospitalised, 276 more than on Sunday, of which 664 were in intensive care units, that is, 17 more, ....
